Kwan Yin means "One who hears the cries of the world, and comes." The most celebrated Goddess in Asia, she is the Goddess of Mercy or Compassion, the Protector of Children, and a Goddess of Fertility. She will appear to bless those who simply speak her name. It is also said that she may intercede to allow a soul to rise into a perfect and peaceful afterlife.
