At A World Apart we offer you the following massage and bodywork services. All services are by appointment only and are performed by NCBTMB* therapists.
Swedish Massage utilizes long, gliding strokes with light to medium pressure to soothe sore muscles and ease you into a state of deep relaxation.
30, 60 and 90 minute sessions available
Deep Tissue Massage uses many of the same techniques as Swedish massage although pressure is more intense and stretching techniques may be used. This specialized massage treats adhesions in the deeper levels of muscles and fascia throughout the body.
30, 60 and 90 minute sessions are available.
Craniosacral Therapy: Gentle pressure on the head and spine adjust disruptions in the body's craniosacral rhythm. This type of bodywork is ideal for all types of conditions including headaches, behavioral disorders, fatigue, insomnia and fibromyalgia. Please wear loose comfortable clothing.
60 minute sessions only.
Myofacial Release: This hands-on approach to bodywork deals with the body's connective tissues, or fascia, for long-term results. A treatment consists of long, sustained pressure as well as a variety of stretches. This service is ideal for anyone suffering from chronic ailments such as headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, neck and back pain and sciatica to name a few. Treatments range from 60 to 120 minutes and clients remain clothed.

Prenatal Massage utilizes long, gliding strokes with light to medium pressure. Pillows and bolsters are strategically placed for optimal comfort and support. Although massage during pregnancy is generally considered safe, it is advised that you consult your physician before scheduling your appointment.
50 minute sessions only.
